George E. Browning, 73, Indianapolis, passed away July 28, 2015. He was born to Emerson and Mary Susie Browning on March 30, 1942 in Procious, West Virginia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sue Browning, son; Troy E. Browning, daughter in law; Rachelle Scruggs, grandchildren; Larry Combs, Heather Ham, Laicea Browning and Savanna Scruggs, great-grandchildren; Mylah Ham and Toryn Scruggs. He also leaves behind brother; Eddie and wife Merche. Sisters; Ruby, Gladys and husband Sam, Jean and husband Larry and Jane. He was preceded in death by brothers; Johnny, Perry and Oliver. Sisters; Dolly, Freda and Marie, also many nephews and nieces.
George joined the U.S. Army on August 7, 1962 in Fairmont, West Virginia and honorably served his county for 3 years being discharged in August 1965.
He is extremely loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Point Church and Community Center, 2578 Donica Road, Greenwood, IN 46143 and visitation will be from 11:00

    George, you were a great friend and uncle to me. WE have hunted the hills of WV with the James and Browning gangs. You will be missed, as you already are. We loved you dearly. God give you rest now…we will be seeing you. SALUTE Nephew Bobby!
